This is an explanation of a few terms you may see during the viewing of this site:

AT Field:  The Angels and Evas possess a field that neutralizes most conventional weapons and protects them.
Synchronization Ratio:  The percentage of connection between an EVA and its pilot.  A higher ratio provides the pilot with more control of their EVA.
Second Impact:  A global catastrophe that involved the melting of Antarctica, and the subsequent loss of 50% of the Earth's population.  It was presumed to be caused by a meteriote.
Progressive Knife:  The EVA's main weapon, this blade emits high-frequency sonic waves.
